Kings of Color: 6th Annual "I Am A KING" Ceremony

January 21st, 2017 at 6:00pm

EMU Student Center Ballroom

Doors open at 5:30pm

Kings of Color, formerly Black Leaders Aspiring for Critical Knowledge (BLACK), would like to thank all alumni for support of our members and organization. In the rise of new members, we would like to invite alumni to the“6th Annual I Am A KING” ceremony.

Kings is the only black student organization on the campus of Eastern Michigan University that is androcentric without being a fraternity. The mission of Kings is to educate, unify, and promote brotherhood, build character, and enrich the lives of college educated students through the promotion of academic programs and community outreach.

We hope to have your attendance in welcoming new brothers into the fold.

Black Student Union’s annual State of the Union Address

Wednesday January 25, 2017 at 6:30pm
EMU Student Center

This semester has been a trying one for EMU Students and as we seek unity on campus it is important that we take the time to address the issues. It is also just as important to acknowledge the steps taken to improve the community and fight back against intolerance and racism.

Morghan Williams Vice President of the EMU Black Alumni Association will address students on the role, resources, and status of the black alumni. We believe this is a great opportunity for alumni to be more involved in the campus community.
